Wesley has served as Chair of Blackstone’s Women’s Initiative since 2019. Under her leadership, the Initiative has driven many programs focused on developing employees’ careers, fostering connectivity across businesses, encouraging organic mentorship relationships, and helping shape Blackstone’s recruiting strategy. Wesley also created the Working Parents initiative in the U.S. for the firm. She is a mentor and champion for other women and is deeply committed to hiring and retaining top women talent. Over the past few years, Blackstone has also evaluated its benefits to ensure they are comprehensive and competitive. The firm offers primary and secondary caregiver leave, adoption leave, phased back to work, fertility coverage, and backup childcare, to name a few. It also recently introduced family planning benefits for US employees, such as enhancing infertility benefits to include cryopreservation and extending primary caregiver leave to 20 weeks.
