Masumi is involved in the Japan Inclusion & Diversity Initiative at Accenture Japan, where she developed a program for working parents to help them continue working without stress after returning to work, with a focus on career development and a healthy work-life balance. The program focuses in particular growing working mothers’ career opportunities, challenging the misconception that returning mothers are limited by less flexible working hours. It also focuses on unconscious bias around parenting, and is inclusive of working fathers. Masumi’s program has contributed to Accenture being ranked in the top ten of Nikkei Dual’s ‘Best Companies for Working Parents’ in 2020.
