Cristina Palmaka is president of SAP Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) since July 2020. With more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, she is known for creating inclusive conditions that allow diverse teams to thrive and achieve extraordinary results. SAP LAC has more than 6,000 employees throughout Latin America and Cristina believes in the power of their diversity to unlock business value and social impact. She brings to the table people from different races, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds to broaden perspectives and make decisions educated by different viewpoints. Cristina is part of the company’s D&I council and its main sponsor. Under her leadership, women in the workforce at SAP LAC increased from 35.6% to 38%, and women in leadership went from 28.8% to 33%. Also, SAP LAC’s employee network model grew substantially, thanks to an executive sponsorship program that promotes their work and increases visibility.
