When Tricia was the Chief Human Resource Officer at The Progressive Corporation she began focusing on the firm’s D&I efforts through the establishment of several Employee Resource Groups. Fifteen years later, Progressive has nine ERGs deeply embedded in its culture, and Tricia’s commitment to D&I has continued in her new position as CEO. The firm ended 2020 with 45% of its leadership represented by women, as well as having increased the representation of people of color. As an active member of Progressive’s Network of Empowered Women, Tricia works to raise awareness of the unique values women bring and the challenges they may face during their career. Through her position on the board of the Business Roundtable, Tricia actively works with other CEOs to help promote change at a higher level, encouraging leaders in corporate America to step up to the challenge of promoting diversity by providing greater transparency on their diversity metrics.
