UK’s first Black Female founder of a seven-figure turnover engineering company serving the construction sector, Roni is a trailblazer and role model, combining being CEO of Jomas with campaigns championing women in industry. Roni is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Geologist. Graduate of Portsmouth University with a BEng(hons) in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, she also holds a Masters’ (with distinction) in Environmental Management from Exeter University. She has worked on major construction schemes including the widening of the A406 and M25, and various buildings and structures across the UK. She is Construction Policy Chair for FSB. She received the highly prestigious presidential invitation to Fellowship of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in 2019 and was appointed Honorary Fellow of RIBA in 2020. Multi award winner, international speaker and dedicated mother to three boys, Roni is passionate about diversity, social mobility and volunteers her time to mentor and coach many.
