Marjorie joined BlackBerry in 2020 as a corporate officer and the company’s first Chief Government Affairs and Public Policy Officer, making her one of the few female Global Government Affairs/Public Policy C-suite leaders worldwide. As the top advisor to BlackBerry’s Executive Chairman and CEO on worldwide government affairs and technical standards decisions, Marjorie has role-modeled gender diversity and women’s inclusion across the company. She proactively endeavors to ensure that all voices and perspectives are considered in corporate decision-making and has mentored many women across the technology sector. Her multi-decade history of advocating for and mentoring women and promoting STEM education and careers for women has inspired an entire cohort of women (and men) at BlackBerry, who have joined Marjorie in promoting gender diversity and women’s inclusion throughout the company and beyond.
