Arungalai is mother to a 7-year-old daughter, fierce gender-balance advocate and a member of the Women’s Network Group within Baker Hughes, and she has been coaching and mentoring gender-diverse employees to succeed in their careers so that she can create more gender-diverse teams in a high-tech business. Arungalai has been promoting roles in STEM with school and university-level students and is a thought leader in Forbes Technology Council and on Gender Balance & Working Mothers. She was featured in the Top 100 Women in Technology Leaders by Technology Magazine in 2021, in the 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology by National Diversity Council in 2021, and in the 10 Most inspiring women leaders to follow in 2022 by Insights Success in 2022 & 40 under 40 by CDO Magazine in 2022.
